May 14, 2025 PTO Minutes 

Board Members: Katie Cloutman, Sue Gramling and Amanda Graziola 

Minutes from February 2025 Meeting were approved. Motioned by Amanda Brady and seconded by Chrissy Anderson. 

Teacher Update: 

Thank you for your support. The gifts have benefited us in many waysWe appreciate the Assembly engagement, bookstore, hands and eyes in the cafeteria and all the other ways the PTO helps. 

May 30th will be field day. Coming up will be the 5th graders vs the teachers kickball game. 

Kindergarten- The look like 1st graders. They had a trip to Milky Way Farm recently where they ate ice cream. They published their first books for Mother’s Day. The kindergarten show will be on June 10th. 

1st Grade- They are working on telling time, flat and solid shapes, and coin valuesThey are waiting for their butterflies to emerge from their chrysalis. 

2nd Grade- They have trips to The Aquarium and YMCA coming up. 

3rd Grade- They just went to the Blue Rocks Game and there was a rain delay. 

4th Grade- They are working on critical skills and designing food trucks. 

5th Grade- They are preparing for their trip to Arrowhead Camp. 

Music- They are thriving and doing a fantastic jobSome of the performances include Veterans Day, Bug Show, Spring Concert, Orchestra and Band, and 4th Grade Band and Chorus.  

Library- The flex program was successful this year. Some highlights include Maker Space, World Read Aloud Day, Black History Month, Hispanic History, Book Fairs, Author Studies, and building strategy research Skills. 

Teacher Grants- Mr. Casey gave a thank you letter that showed what he purchased with the teacher grant. The class colors of the supplies match the folder colors.  

Dr.Cruice Update- 

The Band, Chorus, and Orchestra were a treat to see,  The performed at Rustin High SchoolThey worked on creative writing to go along with the music. 

Assemblies- Magic of Science 

Special Olympics- Mr. Walters class participatedThe PTO provided their T-shirtsThey used our WTE TentOnce they arrived back the classes cheered them on as they did a Victory Lap around the school. 

Teacher/Nurses Appreciation Week-  they felt the love and enjoyed the breakfast. 

We wrapped up our first year of online PSSA testing. The implementation of it was successful and it will be rolled out statewide next year.  

The school board voted to change the last day of school to June 12th 

Spread the word Kindergarten registration is open. 

Treasurer Report- 

We made $5,700 from Bag Bingo, this exceeded last year! 

We made $5,600 from Carnival, this exceeded last year! 

We made $1,500 from Family Bingo! 

Recent uses of PTO funds raised: 

Year Books for 5th Graders 

5th grade field trip to Camp Arrowhead, free for all students 

Materials for Mrs. Kleckner and Ms. Wallace 

Special Teacher Supplies 

Teacher Grant Mr. Casey 

We are set up to be  able to receive matching gifts from employer matching programsSpread the word, this is for all funds given to the PTO including Walk-a-thon donations! 

General Updates:

Chipotle 5/18, Cookie Dope 6/12 & Kendra Scott 7/20. 

We made $45 from the Wings Game 

Looking into a Family Photography fundraiser next year 

Diana Moehler and Samantha Miller will be our Co-Vice Presidents No one else came forward  with interest in the position so no vote was needed. 

Chrissy Anderson will be our Photographer for next year and yearbook lead.
